Cool deal. Good to hear that we're all doing our part!We had carpeting and liueolnm downstairs before we replaced the whole thing with bamboo, and it definitely adds a different kind of atmosphere to the rooms. We now have part of it covered with a throw rug because my older one can get rough, so carpeting is good too (and for a while when he was younger, we were wishing we had gone with the carpeting instead!). by Rafael posted on Friday, September 18, 2015
I love vinegar too!
I love vinegar too! I've been using it (with baknig soda and water) as an all-purpose spray cleaner for a year or so and love it.But my FAVORITE use of vinegar? FABRIC SOFTENER! I hate all those nasty fragrances they put in commercial fabric softeners, so I just pour in about a third of a cup in the rinse cycle (ok, I put it in a downy ball and let the machine do its thing) and voila! It seriously works (no more static cling!) and is cheap and is even good for your washing machine - esp. if you live in an area with hard water! by Suraj posted on Friday, September 18, 2015

Before we got our new flooring uptsairs, I was just fed up with the old carpeting and I pulled it up and we walked on plywood like yours all summer. It sure made us appreciate the new flooring when we finally put it down. Our downstairs is hardwood and I LOVE it! You will love yours too, when you get it installed. It is so easy to take care of. Sorry about your leak, but it was a great way to get new flooring!!! Love & blessings from NC! by Josip posted on Friday, September 18, 2015

Vinegar and baking soda are the two most usuefl cleaning products ever!ABC cookies are great. The pumpkin flavor should be out soon. The cookie of the season this summer was white chocolate chip cranberry nut muffin top. They were delicious. If you can still find them, grab one. I buy them on occasion, but honestly usually enjoy my home made cookies better. They are great in a pinch though. by Roberto posted on Friday, September 18, 2015

I overflowed a baoorhtm sink one year when I was in high school, the hallway carpet shrunk after it dried. I thought I was going to be grounded for a year. But, my parents got the whole back of the house recarpeted with insurance, every room because it shrunk away at each bedroom door entrance. Yay for me washing stockings. by Iosif posted on Friday, September 18, 2015

Linda, that floor sample looks so prttey, It should be gorgeous with the bricks! Water damage! I just found that the roof over my storage room leaked all over everything. I'm washing years worth of fabrics that I should have given away. I don't want them to mildew! I am trying to come up with some quick craft ideas for old fabric!Sherry by Aarohi posted on Friday, September 18, 2015

Awesome, thanks for this! In my airepcpation for the planet I have switched all the cleaners, laundry detergent etc. in our house to environmentally friendly. I use vinegar for just about everything! In the bathroom I use it with a few drops of essential mandarin oil and it makes the bathroom smell like vinegar and fresh oranges. LOL! by Chony posted on Friday, September 18, 2015
